Role Responsibilities:

  • Operate an array of machine tools including panel saw, belt sander, dovetailer, spindle moulder, planer, edge bander, 5 cutter and CNC machinery to produce precision components.
  • Interpret CAD drawings and customer specifications to bring unique furniture designs to life.
  • Set up, adjust, and calibrate machines to ensure flawless execution and top-notch quality.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to guarantee they meet our high-quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to maintain peak performance.
  • Collaborate closely with our design and production teams to streamline workflows and ensure timely project completion.
  • Uphold a pristine and safe workshop environment, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience as a Workshop Machinist or in a similar role, preferably in the bespoke furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of machining tools and CNC machinery.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machinist.
  • Proficiency in using a range of hand tools, saws, and woodworking machinery.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate within the team.
  • Good standard of education including G.C.S.E Maths and English grade C or equivalent.
